Categories: Dessert Info
Yield: 1 Servings

1 Info

Using the Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix, substitute club soda for the one cup of water called for on box directions. Buy a package of 8 4-oz. round disposable foil baking cups. Reshape them into ovals the shape of the real Twinkies. Arrange side-by-side on a jelly roll pan and fill each half full with batter. Bake as box directs for cupcakes - about 20 minutes or until they test done. Cool about 5 minutes and then ease open the sides of the cups to invert the cakes onto waxed paper sprayed with Pam. (You should be able to make about 30 of these from the mix. Wash the cups and use again.) Fill a plastic ketchup dispenser with Cool Whip and insert the tip in 3 places at on the flat side of each cake. Squeeze a little Cool Whip out into each place till it appears around the surface of the hole.

These really do taste like Twinkies!!!
